The fields of public health, medicine, psychology, education, and social and criminal justice are being reshaped by research.
When we look through the combined lenses of this research, we can see a clear picture of how well-being works for kids, adults, organizations, and communities. Surprisingly, well-being is not natural. It takes repeated practice, reliable resources, and continuing support. By translating these 11 areas into strengths-based programs and tools, the EHA hopes to help bridge the “17-year science-to-practice gap”.
A trauma-informed framework is critical for understanding and buffering the roots of complete health for impacted individuals and communities.
